TOKYO, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks closed higher Friday with investor sentiment bolstered by solid industrial output data for October.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 88.46 points, or 0.40 percent, from Thursday to close the day at 22,351.06.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 7.98 points, or 0.48 percent, to finish at 1,667.45.

Oil and coal product, mining and pharmaceutical issues comprised notable gainers, while securities, electric power and gas, and real estate issues led those that declined the most by the close of play.
