BEIJING, May 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted near coast of Peru at 1757 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 14.14 degrees south latitude and 75.41 degrees west longitude. ■
