TOKYO, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced slightly Monday morning on easing concerns of ramifications after U.S.-led airstrikes on Syria
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 55.68 points, or 0.26 percent, from Friday to 21,834.42.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 3.28 points, or 0.19 percent, at 1,732.64.
Pharmaceutical, service and retail-oriented issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
